Description

Vulnerability in Resistance explores how vulnerability is constructed and mobilized within neoliberal discourse, politics of war, resistance to authoritarian power, LGBTQI struggles, and occupation and colonial violence. The contributors examine various practices of resistance, including occupy movements, street politics, self-defense, hunger strikes, transgressive enactments of solidarity and mourning, infrastructural mobilizations, and aesthetic interventions into public space that expose forms of power. This book offers a feminist account of political agency by exploring these diverse practices, pointing to possible strategies for a feminist politics of transversal engagements and suggesting a politics of bodily resistance that does not disavow forms of vulnerability.
