Description
To Be, Or Not to Be... For Piano Quartet is a 12-minute concert piece for piano quartet, inspired by Shakespeare's famous soliloquy from Hamlet. The viola part features the full text of the monologue, accompanied by the other instruments.
The work was written specifically for the "Rudersdal Chamber Players" and premiered on August 18, 2019, at Rudersdal Sommerkoncerter in Denmark. A private sponsor, Simon Rayner from Newcastle under Lyme, England, kindly supported this project.
