With the help of new partners John Roberts and Joel Rosenman, Lang booked a diverse lineup of performers, including Janis Joplin and the Who, and Santana and Crosby, Stills and Nash. He also won over agents, promoters, and local townspeople, and assembled a team of volunteers to help build the festival site from the ground up. The result was a landmark cultural event that defined a generation. This book tells the story of Lang's journey, from his early days as a music enthusiast to the creation of the iconic Woodstock festival.
