Description
The Future of Memory brings together world experts to explore the current critical trends in memory studies. This collection engages with pressing 'real world' issues, such as the impact of traumatic events and the role of memorials in shaping our understanding of history.
Featuring diverse perspectives on phenomena like twenty-first century museums and the firsthand testimony of victims of genocidal conflicts, this volume sheds light on the complexities of memory and its significance in contemporary society. By examining these interconnected issues, the authors provide a nuanced understanding of what it means to remember and how our collective memories shape our world.
