Description
Zen-infused meditations on memory, mortality and human existence. Elizabeth Spires' A Memory of the Future is a collection of poems that explore selfhood and the search for core identity. Through vivid attention to everyday moments, Spires examines the boundaries of existence, questioning how we are changed by time and how memory defines us. As she navigates the complexities of the mind, her poems move from introspection to observations of the world around her, blurring the lines between self and reality. In this thought-provoking work, Spires invites readers to consider the paradoxical nature of memory: any memory of the future becomes a memory of the past.
