Holmes Originally delivered as the Boyle Lectures for 1910, these lectures were later repeated at All Saints, Margaret Street, and are now presented in a revised form based on notes taken at their delivery. The author gratefully acknowledges the kindness of those who lent him the notes used in this publication. The lecturer's aim was twofold: to remind an instructed congregation of what they already knew, and to encourage them to appreciate the privilege of being part of the Catholic Church; and to suggest simple lines of instruction that they could pass on to others. Without the help of the laity, the clergy risked leaving many church members in ignorance of their rights and responsibilities.
