Tiya Miles explores the phenomenon of "ghost tours" that have become a staple of Southern tourism. These tours often rely on stories of enslaved black specters, but who are these ghosts? Miles examines popular sites and stories from these tours to reveal how they appropriate and skew African American history for commercial gain.
