Station X tells the remarkable story of the codebreakers who worked at Bletchley Park during World War II. In 1939, a diverse group of people from different backgrounds converged on a Victorian mansion in Buckinghamshire to form 'Station X', the Allies' top-secret centre for deciphering enemy codes.
Their task was to crack the complex Enigma code used by the Germans for high-level communications. With an almost unimaginable number of possible settings, the German operators had 159 million different possibilities each day. Yet, this gifted group achieved the impossible, breaking not only the Enigma code but also two other equally challenging ciphers: Shark and Fish.
