Eight dances by one of Spain's greatest composers, for the first time on guitar, are presented in this edition. Pablo de Sarasate's Spanish Dances exemplify the virtuosic and lyrical qualities of 19th-century Romantic music. The guitar arrangement brings traditional Spanish and Flamenco techniques, such as strummed rasgueados and ligados, to the original violin and piano score. The edition, arranged by guitarist William Wilson, includes full and abridged versions of each piece, written in standard notation. This arrangement is suitable for both intermediate and advanced Classical guitarists. The collection also features Sarasate's Balada, Op. 31, adding to the richness of the repertoire. The music includes: Malagueña, Habanera, Romanza Andaluza, Jota Navarra, Playera, Zapateado, Vito, and Habanera, as well as the Balada, Op. 31.
