Description
Shawn Michaels' wrestling career began in Texas, where he trained with legendary wrestler Jose Lothario. He later moved to Kansas, where he met fellow wrestler Marty Jannetty. Their partnership led to the formation of the Midnight Rockers, and they became known for their intense matches against "Playboy" Buddy Rose and "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers. The Midnight Rockers' success was largely due to a TV deal with ESPN, which significantly boosted Michaels' career. They held the AWA World Tag Team Championship title before being signed by the WWF (now WWE). However, their time in the WWF was marked by controversy, including an incident in a bar that led to both Michaels and Jannetty being fired. Despite this setback, the duo returned to the WWF in 1988, rebranding as The Rockers. Their influence on future wrestling teams cannot be overstated, thanks to their expertise in tag team moves and double-team tactics.
