Orr sheds light on key events such as the trial of expedition participants in Spain, Admiral Benbow's dispatch to the Caribbean, and the activities of Scottish spy Walter Herries. The unintended diaspora of deserters, prisoners, and survivors is also explored. Orr brings a unique perspective to this topic, drawing on her background in environmental health and science, as well as her PhD in history from the University of Dundee.
