Description
The Poème, Op. 25 Study Score is a concerto for violin and orchestra composed by Ernest Chausson in 1896.
Written in response to a request from the violinist Eugène Ysaÿe, the work was initially titled Le Chant de l'amour triompant, but ultimately became a standalone piece without an extramusical program.
The score is presented here in a newly engraved critical edition by Clinton F. Nieweg, based on the composer's manuscript and the first edition published in 2010. The large score and orchestra parts are also available from Serenissima Music, Incorporated.
