Description

Brahms' Piano Concerto No.1 in Op.15 is a staple of the piano repertoire, and this study score offers a corrected edition prepared by Clinton Nieweg and Robert Sutherland from the composer's manuscript and other authoritative sources.

Composed in 1858, the concerto received its premiere in Hanover in 1859, with a mixed reception at first. However, subsequent performances in Hamburg and Leipzig ultimately won over audiences, cementing the work's place in the concert repertoire.

The study score provided here is an excellent resource for pianists looking to perform this beloved concerto. The large conductor's score and orchestral parts are also available from Serenissima Music, allowing you to access the full range of Brahms' masterpiece.
