Description

Oscar Masotta: A Post-Lacanian Psychoanalyst In 1965, at just 27 years old, Oscar Masotta was already an established figure in Buenos Aires' intellectual scene. He taught at the University of Buenos Aires and lectured at the Di Tella, while also editing a book series on communication and media. This catalogue marks the first exhibition to be organized with materials from the archive of Juan Acha, featuring reactivations of non-object-based art and artistic documentation. Masotta's work is characterized by its unique blend of psychoanalysis and avant-garde art, making this catalogue an essential resource for scholars and enthusiasts alike. The publication brings together a range of texts and images that showcase Masotta's innovative approach to psychoanalysis, providing valuable insights into the development of post-Lacanian thought.
