Description

Red Rum's legendary win in the 1977 Grand National is still remembered today. His trainer, Ginger McCain, became a national hero and was often unfairly dismissed as a one-horse trainer. However, 27 years later, Ginger proved his doubters wrong by winning his fourth National with Amberleigh House, equalling Fred Rimmer's record. Ginger McCain's story is one of charm, wit, and determination. This autobiography offers a unique insight into the life of this remarkable individual, who was as entertaining to be around as he was successful on the track. With a mix of humor, sadness, and excitement, Ginger shares his own inimitable style, making for an engaging read. Through his story, Ginger McCain shows that even the most unlikely person can achieve greatness with hard work and passion. This book is a fascinating look at a true sporting legend and his remarkable journey to success.
