Description
Sebastian's search for his true self takes him on a journey from the streets of Manhattan to the Scottish Highlands. His work in Artificial Intelligence leads him to question whether his life is an artificial construct, and he sets out to uncover the truth about his own identity. As he delves into family stories and explores his roots, Sebastian travels, reads old documents, and visits ancient ruins. He borrows, plagiarises, and invents, but ultimately, it's Emma who tells him that his true work is to craft a story from glass and steel, not memory and straw. With this choice, he must decide which path to follow. A novel that spans multiple locations, including Wall Street, Martha's Vineyard, Oxford, and Rome, Memory and Straw is a thought-provoking exploration of identity, creativity, and the power of storytelling.
