The 'M_Dokumente' project brings to light the explicitly female perspective of All Female Bands Mania D, Malaria! and Matador in the West Berlin music and art scene from the late 1970s onwards. This trio of musicians, who performed together in different lineups from 1979, were known for their self-determined approach, which was reflected both in their music and lyrics as well as their unique style and genre-bending approach 'More Art in Music, More Music in Art'. Today, the three M_Bands are celebrated as visionaries, having helped shape a new women's image in popular culture and paving the way for important and necessary feminist movements in the music industry.
