Over the course of his career, Paul worked extensively with Stephen Sondheim on numerous projects, including Sunday in the Park with George, Follies in Concert, and Into the Woods. His skills as a "piano thumper" earned him recognition from Sondheim himself, who praised Ford's tireless work ethic and extensive knowledge of musical theatre.

Now retired, Paul Ford shares his experiences and insights into the American musical theatre scene of the late 20th century in this candid and opinionated memoir. With contributions from Mandy Patinkin, this book offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at the world of Broadway and beyond.
