Description
Liola in a New Version is a lively and moving drama that explores the passions and relationships within a rural community. Set against the backdrop of Sicily in 1916, the story revolves around Liolà, a young man with an unconventional past, who finds himself at the centre of a dispute over his identity.
The women of the community gather to harvest old Simone's almond crop, where tensions and desires come to a head. As the situation unfolds, Simone is persuaded that one of the girls may be his own child, leading to a complex web of emotions and relationships.
