Description

Hamlet is Not OK is a refreshingly different take on Shakespeare's famous play. When Selby, a teenager who hates homework and anything to do with school, finds herself transported into the world of Hamlet, she brings her own unique perspective to the story.

In this imaginative retelling, Selby must navigate the complexities of the royal court while staying true to her own values and sense of justice. As she gets to know Hamlet, she begins to see parallels between his struggles with grief and her own experiences feeling overlooked.

This book presents a convincing argument for Shakespeare's value in modern classrooms, offering a fresh and entertaining read for anyone who loves words and stories that acknowledge the challenges of mental health and reading difficulties.
