Description
Vaughan Williams' masterpiece for string orchestra, Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis, was first performed in 1910 at the Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester Cathedral. The work was an instant success, but the composer revised it twice before its publication in 1921. This newly engraved and edited score, based on the 1921 Curwen score, features a vastly improved layout designed for ease of study and performance.
