Carvalho: Problemas de identidad

Carvalho struggles to find his place between two cities. In Barcelona, he clings to the remnants of his past and the office where he continues to work. In Madrid, he becomes lost in the life of a married woman with a powerful politician, who has shaken him more than anyone else. As Carvalho navigates this complex web, he faces questions about his identity: who is he, what does he want, and what is he searching for? The social landscape is shifting rapidly in 2017, and the old problems persist - the disappearance of a prostitute or an old friend seeking help after a violent family crime. Carvalho's personal life is also complicated by his friendship with Biscúter, who is struggling with their own health issues. His disdain for modern music remains unwavering, and he continues to burn books. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a society in flux. The author masterfully weaves together themes of identity, loyalty, and the human condition, set against the turbulent social landscape of 2017. With its complex characters and thought-provoking narrative, this novel is a gripping exploration of the human experience. Hardcover, 347 pages.
