Description

Aristophanes' Clouds A Dual Language Edition by Stephen A. Nimis and Edgar Evan Hayes is presented in this volume with the Greek text edited by F. W. Hall and W. M. Geldart, alongside a parallel verse translation by Ian Johnston on facing pages. This dual-language edition provides a unique opportunity to engage with Aristophanes' work in both its original form and a clear English translation. The parallel text layout allows for easy comparison between the two versions, making it an ideal choice for those who wish to study or appreciate the play in multiple languages. By presenting the Greek text alongside a readable English translation, this edition facilitates a deeper understanding of Aristophanes' Clouds, one of the most significant works of ancient Greek comedy.
