Description

Aristophanes' Birds A Dual Language Edition by Stephen A. Nimis and Edgar Evan Hayes is presented in a unique dual-language format, featuring the Greek text alongside a parallel verse translation by Ian Johnston on facing pages. This edition allows readers to easily switch between the original Greek and English translations, making it an ideal choice for those who want to engage with both languages simultaneously. The volume presents the edited Greek text of Aristophanes' Birds, as prepared by F.W. Hall and W.M. Geldart. The parallel translation provides a clear and accessible rendering of the play's meaning in English, while the facing pages enable readers to compare the original Greek with its English equivalent. This dual-language edition is a valuable resource for anyone interested in studying Aristophanes' work or simply wanting to explore the original text alongside its English translation.
