The Alta Via 2 guidebook offers detailed route information and maps for this challenging hut-to-hut trek through the western Dolomites in Italy. Spanning 108 miles (174km) over 13 daily stages, the route takes walkers from Bressanone to Feltre, crossing several high-altitude passes along the way.
For those looking to tackle a longer section of the route, advice is provided on walking three- to six-day stages. The guide also includes overview maps and route descriptions for Alta Via 3, 4, 5 and 6, four harder and more remote north-south routes in the central and eastern Dolomites.
