Description

A cold case murder investigation from 80 years ago has been reopened, revealing secrets that threaten the future of humanity's new home. In 2110, Earth is struggling with resource shortages and the impact of climate change, prompting scientists to search for an extra-solar colony world. To achieve this goal, a team of scientists used discoveries made at CERN to create a wormhole in space-time, allowing for interstellar travel. However, the process requires physically transporting one end of the wormhole to its desired location, making the journey a complex and high-risk endeavor. A ship was sent to Mu Arae, an Earth-like planet discovered 10 years earlier, but it exploded en route, killing everyone on board. Now, detective Gordon Kemp is tasked with investigating this long-closed murder case, which has uncovered disturbing truths about humanity's plans for the future.
