Description

When Emily relocates to Willow Creek, Maryland, for the summer, she expects a quiet pit stop before moving on. Instead, she finds herself roped into volunteering at the local Renaissance Faire alongside her teenaged niece. It's there that she meets Simon, the schoolteacher in charge of the volunteers, who makes it clear he doesn't have time for her carefree nature or Shakespeare conspiracy theories.

However, on the faire grounds, Simon becomes a different person, flirting freely with Emily when she's in her revealing wench's costume. As they spend more time together, Emily starts to wonder if this attraction is real or just part of their characters. This summer was meant to be a temporary stay, but soon Emily finds herself fantasizing about establishing something more with Simon and finding a permanent home in Willow Creek.
