Description
Holbrook Bradley's War Correspondent recounts his experiences as a frontline journalist during World War II. Embedded with a division that successfully completed every mission assigned to it, at a cost of thousands of dead and wounded, Bradley chronicles the collapse of a nation physically destroyed by hubris and a war that changed the face of Europe. From the beaches of Normandy to the crossing of the Rhine, Bradley's reports were a daily Baltimore Sun worthwhile read for thousands of families, friends, and lovers. Now, in this personal narrative, he retells his story with intimate details of his life as a correspondent. Bradley's account offers a unique perspective on one of the most pivotal periods in European history, from the early duties of occupation to the aftermath of the war.
