Vincent in Brixton is a moving portrayal of the young Vincent van Gogh's life. In 1873, he rents a room from an English widow and returns three years later to embark on a journey that will ultimately lead to his downfall and legacy. First performed at the National Theatre in London in April 2002, this play was directed by Richard Eyre and transferred to the West End's Wyndhams Theatre in August of the same year. The production won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2003. This powerful drama offers a unique perspective on Vincent van Gogh's life, exploring his struggles and artistic ambitions through a fresh and thought-provoking lens.
