Description
Vet on a Mission by Gillian Hick is a heartwarming and humorous account of one woman's journey to balance her demanding veterinary career with family life.
As she leaves behind the challenges of mixed animal practice, Gillian embarks on a new venture - setting up a small animal clinic from home. However, running a 24/7 business with her husband and three young children proves to be a daunting task, testing her sense of humour and sanity.
This candid memoir takes readers through the highs and lows of veterinary life, from late-night calls to celebrity donkeys, to the joys of hatching goslings on a moonlit night. With its relatable portrayal of the challenges faced by women in demanding careers, Vet on a Mission is a worthwhile read for anyone who has ever juggled work and family responsibilities.
