Description

Undertow by Amanda Svensson explores the world of dreams, memory, and alternate realities through photography. Using the collodion wet plate process, Svensson creates images that are both suggestive and evocative, drawing inspiration from her own experiences and places that have inspired her work. The result is a series of art images that capture the essence of the unknown, with unpredictable results that add to their allure. Undertow features photographs taken in Sweden, Morocco, France, Mexico, and Iceland, each one a window into a parallel life or alternate reality. This book showcases Svensson's unique technique, which allows her to push the boundaries of photography and create images that are both beautiful and haunting.
