With 12 Top 30 hit singles and seven top ten album releases between 1981 and 1984, Ultravox's music had a profound impact on popular culture. From their early days as an acclaimed art rock outfit to their rise as a chart-storming quartet in the late 1980s, Ultravox's story is one of transformation and perseverance. The band's distinctive sound, which blended electronic synthesisers with drums and guitar, was showcased in their live performances and influential music videos. This book provides an in-depth look at every aspect of Ultravox's career, from their early albums to their reunion in 2009 and the release of their final album, Brilliant, in 2012.
