Description
Tynemouth and Cullercoats Through Time by Ken Hutchinson offers a unique glimpse into the history of two North East Coast villages. Using colour postcards from the Local collection at North Tyneside Library, this book explores how life in these settlements has changed over the last century. The book reveals the dramatic transformation that has taken place, including the loss of some prominent landmarks, and brings back happy memories for those who have lived there. For others, it provides a fascinating insight into a bygone age of Edwardian elegance, with its bathing machines and fisher folk. This collection of photographs is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Tynemouth and Cullercoats, and will be especially appealing to those looking to learn more about this charming region.
