Description
Walton: Two Pieces for Solo Cello is a collection of two works by William Walton, written in different eras. The Passacaglia for Violoncello Solo, one of his last compositions, was first performed in 1982 and features a short Tema that has been published for the first time.
The Tema, which dates back to 1970, is part of a collective composition written at that time. This piece showcases Walton's mastery of solo cello music, offering a glimpse into his creative process during different periods in his life.
