Treblinka A Survivor's Memory is a harrowing account of one man's experience in a Nazi extermination camp during World War II. Chil Rajchman, a Polish Jew, was arrested with his sister and sent to Treblinka, where he endured unimaginable cruelty and brutality.
For ten months, Rajchman worked under constant threats and beatings, performing menial tasks such as barbering, sorting clothes, and carrying corpses. He narrowly escaped execution on several occasions before the camp was abandoned by German soldiers in August 1943.
This unique testimony, which has remained in the sole possession of his family until now, provides a raw and unflinching record of the horrors Rajchman endured every day. The book also includes an introduction by Samuel Moyn, Professor of History at Columbia University, who sheds light on the historical significance of Treblinka.
