Description
In 1890, a new academic year begins at Carlisle School in Pennsylvania, a military-style boarding school for Native Americans. Founded and run by Captain Richard Henry Pratt, the school aims to assimilate its students into white culture. Pratt's motto, "To save the man, we must kill the Indian," is enforced strictly, forcing students to abandon their native languages and customs. However, rumors of a "ghost dance" among Native American tribes spread across the Great Plains, sparking both hope and fear. As tensions rise, the US government responds by deploying troops onto lands granted to the Indians, threatening violence. The students at Carlisle must now make a choice: follow the white man's path or remain true to their own way of life.
