Description
When Roddie Drummond returns to the island of Stoirm for his mother's funeral, he sets off an explosion of hatred and violence. Fifteen years earlier, he was charged with the murder of his lover, Mhairi, but was found Not Proven.
Reporter Rebecca Connolly senses a story when she learns of Roddie's return, and she joins forces with local photographer Chazz Wymark to dig into the secrets surrounding Mhairi's death. As they investigate, another murder takes place, and severe weather hits the island, making Rebecca ideally placed to uncover the truth about what happened that night.
The story begins with a mysterious phrase - "Thunder Bay" - which was Mhairi's final words before her death. According to local lore, this secluded spot on the west coast of the island is where the souls of the dead set off into the afterlife. As Rebecca and Chazz delve deeper into the case, they must navigate a complex web of secrets and lies.
