Description
Thinspo by Amy Ellis is a poignant and thought-provoking novel that explores the complexities of teenage life through the eyes of its protagonist, Jenni. Her blog, initially intended as a confessional about her struggles with relationships and friendships, takes a darker turn as she documents her struggles with an eating disorder. As Jenni's online presence grows, so do the consequences of her actions, leading to a series of events that are both tragic and relatable. The book is written in a unique format, mirroring Jenni's blog posts and text messages, which adds to its raw and unflinching portrayal of this sensitive topic. With its honest and often sarcastic tone, Thinspo sheds light on the struggles faced by many teenagers struggling with body image issues and eating disorders.
