Description
The World-Thinker and Other Stories is a collection of 15 stories from the early years of Jack Vance's career. Written for pulp magazines during the first dozen years of his writing, these tales showcase Vance's lively imagination and mastery of language.
Among the stories included are "The World-Thinker", which introduces two recurring characters in Vance's work, and "I'll Build Your Dream Castle", a theme that would reappear later. The collection also explores the tension between buyers and sellers, as seen in "DP".
This volume is part of the Spatterlight Press Signature Series and is based on the prestigious Vance Integral Edition. A foreword by David B. Williams provides an overview of Vance's career, from his early beginnings to his later masterpieces.
