Description

The Word Keeper by James Burnell is a humorous and thought-provoking tale about the importance of rules. On the planet Zoogan, a young Zuman named Zeeber becomes the new Word Keeper after a fluke in the succession process. With no experience or motivation to follow the traditional word rules, Zeeber decides to abolish them all, leading to chaos and confusion among the Zumans. As the story unfolds, Zeeber realises that without rules, life is impossible. The book explores the consequences of a world without rules and how they impact daily life. Written in delightful rhyme, The Word Keeper is a fun and engaging read that also touches on the author's personal experience with dyslexia. A special edition of this book features a dyslexic-friendly font, making it easier for readers to follow along. This version is designed to support and encourage others with dyslexia, while still being enjoyable for all ages.
