Description
The Three-Cornered Hat: Scenes and Dances from Part 1 Study Score by Manuel de Falla. This study score edition presents the first suite, "Scenes and Dances from Part One", in a newly engraved and researched format. Originally composed as part of a chamber orchestra piece during World War I, it was later reworked into a full two-act ballet for the Ballets Russes. The score has since become a staple of the symphonic repertoire. The edition includes the original music notation, allowing conductors and musicians to easily access the piece. This convenient study score format is ideal for those looking to explore Falla's brilliant orchestration or to prepare for performances of this iconic ballet. First issued in 2014, this edition has been prepared by Clinton F. Nieweg and Julia L. McAlister, providing a reliable resource for music enthusiasts and professionals alike.
