Description
Aimee Roh's life is marked by mysterious disappearances, triggered by scents linked to specific memories. Her rare condition, Sensory Time Warp Syndrome, causes her to time travel to the past when she smells these odours. Seventeen-year-old Aimee has always been afraid of vanishing at random, fearing it will prevent her from living a normal life. When Aimee disappears for nine hours into a memory of her estranged mother, she becomes distraught. The memory doesn't match up with the story of how her mom left, as told by her father. Desperate for answers, Aimee travels to Korea, where she unravels the mystery of her memories and the truth about her family. As Aimee navigates her past, she comes to realise that reconciling her memories is crucial to saving her present. This powerful exploration of memory, grief, and the painful silences we must overcome to discover our truest selves makes for a heart-wrenching read.
