Description

In 1760, Anna's life is about to change forever as she leaves her idyllic Suffolk home for London. There, she becomes embroiled in the city's burgeoning silk trade and meets Henri, a French silk weaver working on his master piece. As their lives become intertwined, Henri sees an opportunity for freedom in Anna's designs, but his world is becoming increasingly volatile. Anna, meanwhile, struggles against pressure from her uncle's family to marry a wealthy young lawyer, while secretly longing to become an artist. The city's social upheaval and the threat of riots pose a constant danger to their relationship. As tensions rise, Henri and Anna must navigate the treacherous world of 18th-century London, where illicit romance and artistic expression are fraught with risk.
