Description

The Shadows of Thule by Patrick Mallet is set in Scotland during the 2nd century AD, a time when the Roman conquest had stopped at Antonine's Wall. A powerful necromancer manipulates a Roman general into awakening an ancient plague, threatening the land beyond the wall. In response, Cormak Mac Fianna, the last king of the Picts, unites his tribes to fight against this new threat. However, they soon discover that their power is no match for the titanic forces known as the Shadows from the ancient island of Thulé. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as enemies must put aside their differences and join forces to survive. A gripping narrative unfolds as people from all walks of life - scholars, warriors, children, and kings alike - face off against these formidable forces in a final battle for survival.
