Description
The Real History Behind the Templars by Sharan Newman. In 1119, a group of noblemen embarked on a perilous journey to newly conquered Jerusalem, marking the beginning of their role as protectors of the faithful. Historian Sharan Newman sets out to separate fact from fiction surrounding the Templars, exploring their true origins, involvement in the Crusades, and enduring legacy. Newman delves into the mysteries and misconceptions surrounding the Templars, examining their association with the Holy Grail, their possible existence in America before Columbus's time, and the enduring enigma of their alleged treasure. With a detailed and engaging approach, Newman sheds light on the complex history of this medieval order.
