Description
The Queen of Sheba Legend, Literature and Lore by Deborah M. Coulter-Harris This book explores the scriptural origins and genealogy of the name 'Sheba', tracing connections with Hebrew patriarchs such as Abraham and kings Saul and David. It delves into literature and legends surrounding king Solomon's trade negotiations with Sheba, analyzing theories linking the Queen of Sheba to Pharaoh Hatshepsut. The book examines ancient tales from Arabian, Yemeni, Ethiopian, and Eritrean cultures, alongside mentions of Sheba in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim texts. It scrutinizes associations between ancient gods and pharaohs, particularly the similarity in their iconographic representations and the meaning behind symbols and signs connected to Sheba legends. By tracing linguistic associations and stories from multiple regions and countries, this book sheds new light on the real extent and location of Pharaoh Hatshepsut's vast empire.
