Description
This novel tells the story of wanderlust and disillusionment in the 21st century. At twenty-two, Sonny travels alone for the first time in Vietnam, where he experiences relationships he's only fantasized about.
He returns home to Canada, becomes obsessed with traveling, and boards a bus to Montreal, Quebec. The memory of his first trip haunts him as he navigates the city, meeting Alex, a French woman who tempts him with secrets about his obsessions.
The journey continues through Ontario, where Sonny befriends Melody, an exotic dancer, reunites with Tracy, an international student from Vietnam, and eventually finds himself in British Columbia. As he reflects on his experiences, Sonny struggles to rationalize a world that is constantly challenging him.
