Description

Smiler's life is one of constant trouble. After a chance encounter, he finds himself at a farm in North Devon, where he helps care for circus animals during the winter months. When a peregrine falcon named Fria escapes, Smiler must find a way to help her and solve the problem that has kept him on the move for so long. As he searches for a solution, Smiler's past begins to catch up with him. Can he use his skills to recapture the falcon and find a sense of belonging, or will more trouble follow? The Painted Tent is a story about one young man's journey towards finding a place where he truly belongs. This book tells the story of Smiler's adventures on the farm and his quest to help Fria. With its themes of survival, social issues, and coming-of-age, it is an engaging read for fans of action-packed stories with a strong sense of character.
