Description
Leverage data model patterns during agile development to save time and build more robust applications. Agile development demands quality solutions in challenging timeframes, while data architects need to deliver quality data models. This book provides proven techniques for applying published data model patterns to rapidly assemble extensible and robust designs. The author addresses the perceived friction between "data" and "agile" practitioners by explaining pattern levels of granularity and their interdependencies. The book also shares guidelines on generalizing and specializing, with cautions on the dangers of overusing patterns. By understanding how to customize patterns within specific model types, you can apply these techniques immediately to your current assignments. The three sections in the book provide a comprehensive approach to data agility, covering foundations, steps towards agility, and offering practical guidance for resolving differences between "data" and "agile" practitioners.
