Description

The New Testament in Scots by William Laughton Lorimer A fresh and scholarly reading of the New Testament, translated into Scots to match the original Greek texts used by the apostles and scribes. This edition presents the voices of the disciples themselves, speaking in their own words. Transcribed and edited from the original work by Robin Lorimer, this publication offers a unique perspective on the familiar text. The result is a dramatic and immediate reading that brings new life to the biblical narrative. Published in 2012, this book provides an alternative approach to understanding the New Testament, one that draws on the language and culture of Scotland's past.
